We’re original. At that time of the year, when nobody wants to hear about open shoes, we do. And the Bubble Shoes are great for that, as they are designed both to escape temporal fashion trends, and to let people show off their socks, usually under-appreciated. As socks are a lot cheaper to buy than shoes, the concept design would become a more durable commodity.
Technically, they’re resistant to scratches and shock. The shell consists of two layers of silicon plastic with compressed gas in between for the thermal isolation and comfort of walking. The vamp is vapour permeable, airy, and at the same time water-resistant. Aljosa Senk, from Armada Design, grabbed a Red Dot 2006 award for creating them. As far as we know, the project is still at the ‘beta’ stage.
