We haven’t built ours since we were, like, not in the mood of hunting bats in our cave. But Anton Olsen, a guy self-described as excited about computers for over 25 years, suggests quite detailed plans to build your own LED flashlight.
A Mini Mag-light is needed. But other flashlight should also be suitable. One AA battery will be enough to power it. It does not eat much energy, around 90 mA, at least to allow you read Dostoevsky’s “Crime and Punishment” from the beginning to the last cover. The circuit should not be a bummer for those who usually haul their iPod. Anton forgot to tell how much light we could get out of this.
