CocolicoEach day, one green design.

Designers come with great ideas, whether their products are high-tech or not, but they usually forget to include the packaging. And everyone knows the result, the ugly trash full of unused cardboards. Although the materials could get recycled, it’s even smarter to take care of it in the design. One great example: The David Graas’ FYS (Finish Yourself) stool.

The stool is a cardboard piece of furniture for temporary exhibitions or parties. It comes within a package box, but it shares two parts with the box while the remaining six parts are packaged in. And that’s the good idea of this Dutch designer; once assembled, there’s a lot less garbage to throw out.

David Graas has also designed the higher standard chair. More complex, but more comfortable too, the chair follows the same rules of design. Check his catalog.

Objetos de Desejo » Quando A Embalagem É O Produto: FYS Stool – January 21, 2007
