Simplicity, and ergonomics were the two main concepts that generate this concept laptop from LG Electronics labs. The team heavily relies on OLEDs to create a wider and more minimalist screen display — as OLEDs don’t need to be carried by a frame — and also to come up with a touch-sensitive keyboard. Users would choose between different kind of keyboards, create their hotkeys, and rearrange their size and position as their want on the pad. (It’s pretty good as some people have bigger fingers than others.)
But there’s one third objective: Eco-sensitivity. And it took place in the e-book laptop as a blue ‘perfume bottle’ in the middle of the laptop.
The tiny tank contains methanol and natural gas. In fact, it’s as a fuel cell generator powering the whole device. LG thought it was a smart way for users to monitor the consumption of their laptops, which we agree with, and would let users to refill their laptop as they would do for their cars. No production calendar has been set for the laptop, but with the evolution of electronic consumer market, it could be there within three years.
