What do teenagers think about new technologies trends? (If you are a designer, it might be useful) The 2006 Lemelson-MIT Invention Index, which each year grants $500,000 for the best invention awards, reports that one third (33%) of American teens expect the end of gasoline-powered cars by 2015!
Roughly over 90% teens also support innovations that can produce clean water. While 84% of them back innovations that will reduce pollution and for 82% of them enhance energy conservation.
But when it comes to elect their favorite career fields, only 9% of respondents choose science, far behind art (17%) and medicine (17%). Of course, Alfred Einstein affirmed that “imagination was better than science” but well, I let you judge.
