CocolicoEach day, one green design.

Here’s the current situation in mobile phone market: Too many handsets in circulation, so many that in some countries like Luxembourg, Greece or Sweden, there are more cellphones than residents.

And to still sell more, cellphone manufacturers, one by one, are: 1) seeking good designers to enhance their products as Jonathan Ive did it for the Apple iMac several years ago; 2) looking to cut production costs even. The results? Here come the disposable cellphones that last as long as prepaid cards.

Let’s blend those two trends, people, and pour into it a little scent of eco-friendly design. You end up with the Ame Design mobile phone covers (via yanko design). They simply are made of paper card. Phone envelopes come in a foldable paper, and decorated by designers.
