CocolicoEach day, one green design.

Building a house with reused materials isn’t that hard. (Unfortunately, there still are thousands of very low-income households doing it by their own.) But they made it reach another level. They made it great with low-impact materials, while respecting the basic but yet wise principles of green building. They: The collective of the Scrape House, who achieved to build a eco-savvy prefab-style house with just reused materials.

The project took place in the San Fransisco Bay Area. During four months, members and volunteers hanged out in salvage yards, dumps, or active construction sites. And all together they build a one-bedroom house which provides comfort and space a urban citizen would require.

A dozen pictures are available on their site. We cannot say how much you should take a peak on them.
