CocolicoEach day, one green design.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take a whole fortune to get an ecofriendly lamp. Sometimes, you can do it your way, with everyday materials.

The plastic bag lamp is one of those think-by-yourself designs. And as a result, it is also a do-it-yourself object. Guys from the graphic design agency Vestal Design are responsible for this. Five minutes of elaboration, some ten plastic bags from supermarkets (it’s better if you grab them in an independent mini-mart, they won’t come with printed ads on them), and some ability to mix different colors to make a bloom.

The only thing you need to care about is the lamp. Don’t take one of those classic Edison lamp — you don’t want to turn your creation into a barbecue flavor incense, do you. Instead, try to get some LEDs, which radiate a lot less heat.
