CocolicoEach day, one green design.

Want a rocking-chair? Of course you do. Have some money? Of course you don’t. So here’s the catch: turn your four-legged chair into a real rocking-chair. And if your neighbor got mad at your permanent bouncing new habit, don’t wait for him to come, just set it back to casual chair.

The basic idea of ‘Rocker’ is very attractive. Its design also. A simple couple of birchen plywood and a series of stainless steel fasteners. The length yields about 76 centimeters. And the colors are customizable.

The Rocker project was originally intended for the Designboom rocking chair 2002 contest. Its creators, Meinte van de Meulen and Guido Ooms, both Dutch designers, scored the 12th place out of more than a thousand participants. Further developments are undergone since they received fundings from Stichting Sofa. If you are interested in, you can drop them an email at info@guidomeinte.com.
