We already talked here of bicycle-recycled furniture. This time, the application field is accessories.
The company name “Schlauch” means “hose” in English. Add to it the slogan “Die besten Dinge kommen von der Strasse” (the best thing come from the street) and you find out what this Germany-based design shop is proposing you: belts made of bicycle tire hoses.
The biggest advantage remains in the hose plastic. One belt of this kind will last for years. Besides it absorbs no humidity, you could eventually use it as a sling to kill your worst enemy ― kidding.
38 euros! My only concern is about their prices. Come on guys, €38 for the cheapest model is too much high to me. Even high prices condition our perception of the eventual higher quality of a product, Schlauch set its tariffs at a prohibitive rate. Every one could make a bicycle hose belt. Or even invent the hose double straps. The materials are casual. Only the belt fastener could be more expensive.
For those who are interested in buying recycl’art, Schlauch currently provides delivery only for the Euro zone.
