Besides your sweat, night clubs voraciously eats energy. Big lights, big air conditioning system, big sound system. But they are cool, and it’s not the point to close them — but to reshape them. Environmental NGO Enviu and architecture firm Döll have rolled out this amazing concept, the Sustainable Dance Club, a dancing place with low impact on the environment.
Why? Take a look at the dance club features. Users will generate energy themselves while dancing. Toilets will work with rainwater. The color of the walls will change as a reaction to the heat without any energy waste. For the beers, they’ll be biological.
The club is a very imaginative alternative, because it directly modifies the core of the place. It’s too bad the concept hasn’t been experimented elsewhere than in Rotterdam, and we hope they’ll find some partnerships.
